The Holy Heteroclite claims:when Bono "smiles ever so slighty," something's up

My comment,as always, is: dave wainscott still building golden idols of boNO!!!

Personable,  I thinks boNO may have forgot his lines or had a gas bubble when he smiles like that? or he is laughing at not paying ANY TAXES....

funny how I thought we loved God... not boNO?

one of mr dave wainscott's exact quotes:

"I also must confess wholly/holy obsession with U2"

Lets look at the word "obsession":

ob·ses·sion   [uhb-sesh-uhn]
Origin 1505–15;  < Latin obsessiōn-  (stem of obsessiō ) blockade, siege, equivalent to obsess ( us ) ( see obsess) + -iōn- -ion

1.the domination of one's thoughts or feelings by a persistent idea, image, desire, etc.
2.the idea, image, desire, feeling, etc., itself.
3.the state of being obsessed.
4.the act of obsessing.
     Related forms
ob·ses·sion·al, adjective
non·ob·ses·sion, noun
non·ob·ses·sion·al, adjective
self-ob·ses·sion, noun

ob·sess   [uhb-ses]
–verb (used with object)
1.to dominate or preoccupy the thoughts, feelings, or desires of (a person); beset, trouble, or haunt persistently or abnormally: Suspicion obsessed him.
–verb (used without object)
2.to think about something unceasingly or persistently; dwell obsessively  upon something.

My thoughts on that quote: You can not be obsessed with anything but God.... period!
And, you want to follow a person that does this... why????

Just read a fascinating article on addiction to quote a part:

In the century that followed, a revolution has occurred in our understanding of addiction to mind-altering substances. Today, many experts believe that compulsive behaviors such as excessive gambling, hypersexual activity and overeating fit the disease model of addiction. Rather than a form of slavery, a nasty habit, or bad character, brain imaging studies have demonstrated that addiction is the neurological equivalent of an overloaded power switch. Once activated, an insurgency of bad judgment and risky behaviors hijacks the brain’s delicate circuitry, in exchange for brief, artificial states of well being.
In the years to come, it is certain that the definition—as well as the science and treatment—of addiction will continue to evolve in ways we cannot even imagine.

This is a wiz-bang description of mr dave wainscott!
